nRF connect: can't find ncs file in BLE example folder

Hello,

I am trying to test the BLE example named "Current Time Application" located at ble_peripheral\ble_app_cts_c folder. But i can't find the cts_central.ncs file in the folder when i try to load it by clicking load setup in nRF Connect utility worked at window 10. I did find a similar file named cts_central.bin in the folder, but it shows "Unexpected token in JSON at position 0" error when i try to load it. Any suggestion?

Do you get any error message when you try to load the cts_central.ncs file in nRF Connect?

This file seems to be used to add services for peripheral device, perhaps the ncs file was not included in the original example folder. I have another question: In the window version nRF Connect utility to simulate a peripheral device, can i create a user defined services or characteristics?

Hi,

The cts_central.ncs file for nRFConnect was added in SDK 13. The .bin file that is found in the previously SDKs was for MasterControlPanel. The .ncs file can be found in SDK13 folder: nRF5_SDK_13\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_cts_c, or you can download the .ncs file below.
