hi, I want to use BLUETOOTH for Position Service, Did nrf52840 or nrf52832 support new feature in BLUETOOTH5? like (1)LE Extend ADV?(2)LE Periodic Advertising Create sync? (3)LE Coded PHY support 1M/2M ,coded?(4)Aod??

Could you tell me the path of example in sdk if nrf52840 or nrf52832 support?? thanks very much!!

Hi,

Both the nRF52840 and nRF52832 will support new feature released in Bluetooth 5. For more details have a look at this page

In general:

NRF52832 support:

• High troughput mode (2 Mbps)
• Advertising extentions

nRF52840 support:

• Long range mode (Coded PHY)
• High troughput mode (2 Mbps)
• Advertising extentions

Long range and high througput mode is already available in the alpha releases of softdevice S132/S140 v5.0.0. Advertising extentions will be added at a later time.

The other terms you need to describe in more details before I can answer.

hi ,jorgen thanks very much . according to what I know,the feature of LE Periodic Advert and Aod depend on Advertising extentions. Could you tell me when to provide the Advertising extentions in sdk.
