I2S external clock

Hi,

is it possible for the NRF52832 to have an external I2S MCK clock when being in master. Because I am working with a DAC/amplfier which will play some sound files from the NRF, but the NRF's own I2S clock configurations doesn't meet the clock requirements for the DAC.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the nRF52832 cannot accept an external clock source for the I2S master mode. You'll have to setup the nRF52832 in I2S slave mode to do this (provided that your external DAC supports I2S master mode)

The I2S is sourced by the PCLK32M, so any MCLK generated will be a division of 32.000M. Here's the table in the PS: infocenter.nordicsemi.com/.../i2s.html
