Hello,

the example "experimental ble app cgms" (SDK v13.0.0) failed to pair with nRF v1.1.1.

The error code was Authentication failed with status BLE_GAP_STATUS_PAIRING_NOT_SUPP, seen in Log of nRF Connect v1.1.1

Do you know what I can do here to fix the problem ? Is Pairing disabled in the connectivity firmware for nRF Connect ?

I tried with pair and with bond, seems to be working fine:

Are you sure you haven't modified the example? Also, try to delete bonds on the board with CGMS running (hold Button 2 on reset).

Deleting bonding on the board with CGMS solved my problem. This information should be included in the example Testing How-To

I have tried the CGMS example and have no problem pairing. I am using the new nRF52840 dongle with the nRF Connect software running on my Windows 10 PC.

However, when I tried the "ble_app_uart_pca10040_s132" example that in the project "nRF5_SDK_15.2.0_9412b96\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart\" 

I am unable to pair and got the same error message:

I tried deleting any old bonds as per this discussion thread but still unable to pair. I have tried many combinations of the options during pairing but none will work.

However, the nRF UART v2.0 app running on my Android phone has no problem connecting to the DK board running this project. So it seems the pairing mechanism in this project works with the Android but will not pair with the nRF Connect on Windows 10 PC.

Any idea how to overcome this?
