Problems setting up eclipse IDE for nrf52832 with ST link V2

Hello,

I'm struggling with setting up the eclipse IDE to build the blincky program in the SDK now I've configured all the paths and eclipse configuration according to this tutorial:

devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../

and the IDE seems to not be able to recognize the NRF related libraries.

What is suggested?

I'd also like to flash the chip with ST link V2 in eclipse is it possible or do I have to buy that 400$-1700$ Jlink to program the chips(How ridicules is that and why people support it)?

Thanks for your time.

  • No you don't have to buy a 400 dollar JLINK, you can, if you're not commercial, buy the JLink EDU which is very reasonably priced. Alternatively, buy one of the Nordic Dev Kits, which are also a) reasonably priced and b) work with all the examples which is a great help and that lets you do debug out with the onboard JTAG.

PS Eclipse is garbage - SES is much better, as long as you have a JLink or a nordic board as mentioned above
