EN 300 328 V2.1.1 Receiver Blocking Test Setup

I'm testing the setup for the Receiver Blocking test ask part of EN 300 328 V2.1.1 and I have a question after reading these posts devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../, devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ and AN34.

1. In figures 2 and 3 in AN34 is shows serial transcievers between the computer running the upper tester, the lower tester and the DUT. If I'm using a nRF52DK as the lower tester do I need an additional serial connection via transceiver to the DK or can I use the USB connector?

Hi,

If you are using a nRF52-DK as the lower-tester you can use the on-board USB/UART(virtual COM port) bridge that is on the DK.

Sigurd, Thanks for the answer. One additional question, in this post, devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ a Nordic employee says the following changes need to be made in the DTM example ble_dtm.c --> radio_init() --> NRF_RADIO->MODE = m_radio_mode << RADIO_MODE_MODE_Nrf_250Kbit; Does this change need to be completed on both the DUT running the DTM example and the lower test running the DTM example?

Yes, both the lower-tester and the DUT need to use the same RF PHY. I think it should be NRF_RADIO->MODE = RADIO_MODE_MODE_Nrf_250Kbit << RADIO_MODE_MODE_Pos; to set it to 250 Kbit mode. You can also set the m_radio_mode variable to the mode you want to test. Note that regular BLE uses 1Mbit mode.
