QDID for Device Information Service

Hello,

We have started down the path of getting our first Bluetooth Smart product through the Bluetooth qualification process. We are using the nRF51822 with SDS 6.0.0 and SDK 5.2.0. The only standard service we present is the Device Information Service every thing else is proprietary. Our qualification vendor is asking for the QDID of the DIS profile. I browsed through the Nordic listings on the SIG website and couldn't find any that listed the DIS as "Service supported over LE" unlike many of the other standard protocols.

Is there a QDID for the Nordic DIS, or do I need to do something additional here with regards to getting my product qualified?

Thanks, John

  • Nordic provided the following to answer this: The Device information service is part of the nRF51 SDK profile subsystem. This can be combined with the other QDID’s for the LL and the Host layer. More details can be found in the RIN.

    QDID is 49943.

  • The following QDID's are used as part of our profile subsystem for the S110 stack, QDID 44613, QDID 45222 and QDID 49943. Instead of referencing the QDID's for LL and host, it is also possible to use our Qualified design QDID's combined with the profile subsystem (QDID 51744 for the QFN packet and QDID 51745 for the CE packet).
