nRF52 and 9V Battery

Hello,

I am trying to design a power supply circuit for my project based around the nRF52 and various sensors. I need to use the 5V pin so I will need a bigger battery than the CR2032.

I was thinking about connecting a 9V battery directly to the micro-USB port on the nRF52 using a custom-made cable. I don't want to fry my board, so I was wondering if the voltage regulator on the nRF52 would be able to handle 9V?

I am hoping the 9V will be able to power 3 TWI sensors and perform BLE tasks on the nRF52.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
