Crystal less operation NRF51822

Hi I have some questions regardning the crystals needed for the NRF51822 chip.

I know that I can remove the 32kHz external clock and use the internal clock. But can I use the internal 16MHz clock instead of the external? My app does not require any well defined time base, but does the SD need a accurate 16MHz source?

If I can not remove the external crystal, can I use a external resonator? What is the minimum frequency tolerance for the 16MHz source?

Hello,

The nRF51822 have to be used with an external 16 MHz clock. The required frequency tolerance can be found in the nRF51822 Product Specification, chapter 8.1.2. Unfortunately, a resonator cannot be used because it will be too inaccurate.
