    Hello,

Yes, the programmer that comes with the development kit can be used to program the nRFbeacon. In addition, you have to connect the programmer to the beacon kit, it can for example be done using TC2030 from TagConnect, see the Beacon kit user guide chapter 5.5.4.

Edit 16.02.2015: It is also possible to use the Segger debugger on the nRF51-DK to program the beacon kit, see chapter 5.10 in the nRF51-DK user guide.

    Regards, Kristin

  • It's important to notice that pin 5 and pin 6 are wrongly interchanged in the current Beacon kit user guide. The table in chapter 5.5.4 should read: pin 5: GND pin 6: P0.11

  • So, with any TC2030 the nRF Beacon kit can be programmed?? I'm wondering about buying one, because now I'm having several problems programming it, because there are no compiling errors but often when I try to modify or especially using pointers Beacon stops working... And without a debugging process it's very complicated to figure out what is wrong in it. Any recommendation? Thanks.
