Is SOFTDEVICE_HANDLER_APPSH_INIT a requirement when using app scheduler

Hi all,

I am a bit confused about the use of SOFTDEVICE_HANDLER_APPSH_INIT and similarly APP_TIMER_APPSH_INIT. I've not been able to find anything in the documentation to answer my question.

If I am using the app scheduler, must I use the app scheduler versions of app timer and soft device handler init functions?

If so, why?

I'm using sdk13 and an NRF52

Hi

It is entirely optional to use the app_timer or SoftDevice through the scheduler, and if you only want to use the scheduler for the application you are free to do that.

The only thing you have to ensure is that if you do want to use the scheduler in the app_timer or the SoftDevice, you have to initialize it first.
