Measuring power consumption at home with nrf51822

Hi, I would like to measure the electricity consumed at my home(220-240V) with the nrf 51822 and send it over bluetooth. No problem on the bluetooth side, but how can I measure the electricity consumed? Priority is to have it low-power and lasting for years.

Are you going to measure the power consumption of individual appliances or the total power consumption of your entire home? If its the latter then I think something like this is the easiest approach.
