Battery life for a central device

Hi, We have to find the battery life of a central device based on nRF52 (s132 v3 soft device)running with 800mAh battery. The device scans for a peripheral in every 5 sec and scan duration is 500 millsec. The scan interval is 100 millisec and scan window is 50 millisec. We have DC-DC disabled.

Once it finds a peripheral it got connected to it and perform a characteristic write and disconnect. The connection parameters is as follows:

Minimum Connection interval = 7.5 millisec Maximum Connection interval = 30 millisec Slave latency = 0 Supervision Timeout = 4 sec
The average connection interval is 50 millisec. Device remains in sleep mode the rest of the time. Anybody can help us to find how long the battery can withstand?

Hi,

We have a tool for power profiling here. Unfortunately, It's for peripheral and we haven't done that for central role yet.

My suggestion is to get hold of a power profiler kit (~$90) and do the measurement on your setup. You will have more precise result than we doing estimation here. The reason is that we don't know how much processing needed therefore how long the CPU stay awake when there is an event.
