Simple Serial example application upload procedure?

Hi Nordic developers can someone provide me an example for a simple serial application for nrf51822 BLE? I have tried uploading the application using Arduino ide and blackmagic probe but UART serial data cannot be seen. So if I wanted to manually upload the hex files into the nrf51822 is this the right order of doing it? 1st - > Softdevice followed by bootloader followed by BLE_APP followed by APP_VALID_SET ? but nothing seem to work so please let me know the correct way of doing it? My suggestion would be to use the ble_app_uart example provided in our latest SDK v13.1.0. The SDK can be downloaded from here and you'll find the example in the \examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart folder
