nRF51 DK not detected (no LED5)

Hi,

I tried to flash the mbed FOTA bootloader on my nRF51 DK. I copied the bin file to the bootloader device. It said the storage on the device is to small. Now it won't show up as a USB device and the LED5 is not lighting up anymore. I tried bootloader and normal mode on two different machines with Linux and Windows.

I tried to run nrfjprog --recover, but it says ERROR: There is no debugger connected to the PC.

JLinkExe says Connecting to J-Link via USB...FAILED: Cannot connect to J-Link via USB.

The blinky example app still is running on the nRF51422, since LED1 is blinking. I think the JLink chip is gone...

Can I recover it?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Martin,

thank you for your quick response!

    1. I am using Linux and the device is not listed in lsusb or produces output in dmesg. I tried Windows as well, there is no device showing up.
    2. I tried three different ones, no change. The cables work with other devices
    3. Yes, I did try to connect the device in bootloader mode (connecting with IF BOOT/RESET button pressed), still no device on both machines with different cables
    4. VDD is 2.93V
    5. Using Linux, no device shows up, so I think I can leave this one out.
    6. I already tired this: JLink says ERROR: There is no debugger connected to the PC, so I can not enter the commands

@rogerclark: there is no device showing up
