nRF52 SDK examples

I am using the nRF52 DK, in the 12.3 SDK I see two different hex files in the examples, 10040 and 10032, which one should I use?

Which series of nrf52 are you using? nrf52832? or nrf52840?

There is usually a sticker on the board. I have an nRF52 Preview DK, and the sticker on the board says "PCA10040". PCA10032 appears to be a dongle bundled with the nRF51 DK, so you probably want PCA10040.

Hi morerook. I can't find the PCA10032 hex file anywhere in the SDK. What example are you looking at? But for the nRF52 DK you should use the hex file for PCA10040.
