how nRF52 chip connects to another Bluetooth device?

Hi everyone,

I am using board PCA10040 v1.1.0, softdevice 13.0.0, Eclipse Oxygen. I am trying to connect my board with a device call Daydream controller.

There is also a emulator app of that device on Android phones.

It is said that there is BLE 4.2 on the Daydream device. Could you help me how can I set up a connection with that device using my PCA10040 board, please?

Thanks for reading.

  • nRFConnect is an app for your smartphone that lets you scan, communicate and connect to your nRF52 Bluetooth chip. If I were you, I would start from the beginning and try to connect your nRF52 to your smartphone using the nRF52 mobile app. If you are using Windows, I would consider downloading the MDK-Arm Keil uVision IDE, the Software Development Kit, nRF GoStudio from this link (nRF5 Getting Started -> Nordic Tools & Downloads) & nRF Connect for Android (download on Google Play Store). Then, I would try to run the Blinky example by following this link (Software Development Kit -> nRF5 SDK -> nRF5 SDK v14.0.0 -> Getting Started -> Running Precombiled Examples)
