About the random number generator of LE1

Hi

I use the random number generator of LE1,I have made a demo code and the code can generate a random number.As the project in attachment.

I want to get a random time,so I use the RTC and random number generator to do the random TX.But I found that the random number is always 0xA0.Pls see the main.txt document.

I donn't know why.Could you give me some advice?Thanks a lot!

Hi Alice,

You should read the value from register RNGDAT. It seems that you're sending the config register instead of the data-register. Replace:

ramdom_time = RNGCTL;

With: ramdom_time = RNGDAT;
