Hi
The long range mode is not supported in the nRF52832, only in the nRF52840.
Other BT5 features such as high speed, advertising extensions and more will work on both the nRF52832 and nRF52840.
Best regards
Torbjørn
Nordic should really consider adding maybe a beacon only Long Range feature into the SD for 52832. Even if you don't have the hardware to do coded phy you could at least use the processor to code the advertising frame for a beacon. There are probably a lot of 53832 designs out there that would benefit from this option.
Alternatively, you should offer a version of the 52840 with fewer gpio in a QFN package. 7x7mm is a little chunky for most beacon applications.
