Which kit to start for beacon development?

Hi,

I am looking to build a beaon product based on nRF51822. There are several kits available shown below. Which kit should I pick to start the hardware design and firmware development.

Is there API available for ios and Android to connect to beacon kit? Are APIs fully documented?

nRF51822 Bluetooth Smart Beacon Kit 25.04.2014 nRF51822-mKIT 02.04.2014 nRFgo Starter Kit 27.03.2014 nRF51822 Evaluation Kit 27.03.2014 nRF51822 Development Kit 27.03.2014

We started with the DK Kit and the sample code but it's very basic, way better to skip to the one above it's pretty much fully featured.

We've made a lot of changes to the firmware adding security, tx power configuration and bunch of other goodies for www.dropin.co.nz service

But the Smart Beacon kit is a great place to start.
