How to write apps to Flash without using SoftDevice.

I do not want to use SoftDevice, I want to write new application from application to Code Area(0x00 - 0x80000).

Can I use fds without using SoftDevice?

Also, Is there any effective way?

Is it possible to write by setting NRF_UICR->APPROTECT to Disable?

From SDK 14.0.0 Fstorage can be used without SoftDevice.

FDS_BACKEND tells Fstorage which backend to use.

I'm not sure what NRF_UICR->APPROTECT has to do with this.
