nRF52810 Compatibility ?

I have several question regarding the backward compatibility of the nRF52810.

By Bluetooth 5.0 FAQ Document the Bluetooth certified 5.0 devices are backward compatible with ALL previous revisions and futures of Bluetooth and BLE.

Is it true the same for nRF52810, because is Bluetooth 5 certified? If not - To what extend is backward compatible?

Is it possible nRF52810 to be used in Master/Host mode to control previous revision Bluetooth devices?

I'm working on a project that requires Bluetooth connectivity to a many and different brands portable Bluetooth enabled devices.

Hi

The nRF52810 will be backwards with all previous version of Bluetooth low energy, that is correct. This means that the nRF52810 can communicate with BLE devices based on the 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 or 5 specification.

Or as stated in the FAQ:
"Devices implementing only the low energy feature of Bluetooth 5 will be backward compatible with Bluetooth 4.2, 4.1 and 4.0 devices that also implement the low energy feature. "

The nRF52810 will not be able to communicate with so called classic Bluetooth devices, running in the BR, EDR or HS modes (Nordic doesn't make any devices for classic Bluetooth).
