nRF51822 and nRF8002

Hi Nordic team,

I intend to use RFID function on the BLE technology. Related to your product, could I:

1. Use nRF51822 as the reader to detect the attention of some people via RFID BLE tag. By using this, I means I will replace the use of smartphone (with app) in same function (since I can not always use smartphone to recognise these tags).

2. The purpose of nRF8002 chip is for building the BLE RFID tag and I can use it to create any form of tag I want, isn't it?

3. How many maximum concurrent tags can nRF51822 manage at one time.

Hi,

NRF51822 and NRF8001 are bluetooth low energy chips, not RFID/NFC. It's not the same technology. But you can use bluetooth instead RFID/NFC for many applications.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

In case using bluetooth to manage tags , can I use many host and define a rule to group 7 bluetooth tags under 1 host management, other 7 tags under other reader.
