nRF51422 External Clocks

We plan on using the external 16 MHz and 32 KHz oscillator inputs to reduce BOM costs since our host micro uses a 16 MHz and 32kHz crystal and it can generate outputs. If we want to minimize power consumed by the nRF51422 should we put in the provision to externally gate each of the clocks OR can that be done internally to the chip?

When the HFCLK clock is turned off (using HFCLKSTOP task), the XC1 (or XL1) will remain in high impedance. You don't need to gate out externally.
