FreeRTOS updates?

I use FreeRTOS in my application (nRF52, SDK14) and want to statically allocate memory for task stacks. Unfortunately, the FreeRTOS port in the SDK is oooooold, version 8.2.1, dating back to September 2014 (!).

Are there any plans to update FreeRTOS in the SDK to the latest and greatest version 9 in the near future?

Hi,

The FreeRTOS port is unfortunately still on version 8.2.1. We hope to add support for version 9 in the future, but we don’t have any dates or schedule for this at the current time. So you need to allocate this somehow else. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
