uart android app best template

I want to create own android app with just nus service (uart).I'm not very good in android programming, so there are two ways for me doing that:

1. Use Android-nRf-uart example on github pros: what I need. There are just should be change interface and general things. The bluetooth part is almost ready cons: The repository is not up to date as It seems. (2015 year) in part of used library and etc.

2. Extract uart example from NRF_TOOLBOX_APP

in opposite with first item

The main question is nrf_uart_example is up to date in bluetooth-scanner-connection parts or it's better use NRf_toolbox as template?

I would recommend using the UART app from the NRF_TOOLBOX container app as that is the most up to date.
