  • Hi Kevin!

You are welcome to buy a new nRF52 Development kit (PCA10040). You can find our distributors in your country by following this link.

The nRF5 SDK provides a rich and well tested software development environment for the nRF52 Series and nRF51 Series devices. It includes a broad selection of drivers, libraries, examples for peripherals, SoftDevices, and proprietary radio protocols of the nRF52 Series and nRF51 Series. The SDK comes with support for Segger Embedded Studio, Keil レVision⑩ IDE, GCC make files, and IAR support which gives you the freedom to choose which IDE and compiler to use.

We also have a video-tutorial series for getting started with SEGGER embedded studio and the nRF5 SDK.
SEGGER Embedded Studio - Getting Started

Once you get your nRF52 DK, you can follow our tutorials here on devzone to get you started.
There is a getting started tutorial you could follow. Also the BLE advertising/services/characteristic tutorials contains a lot of useful theory as well as hands-on programming examples.

The SDK can be downloaded from the downloads tab at this site. You should also take a look at our infocenter, which contains information about the different softdevices, SDK's, specifications for the different devices and so on.

    Good luck!
Let us know if you face any problems.
    Best regards,
    Joakim.
