Hello
We have nRF51822 chip on our board. We want to make next version of the board. But heard that nRF51822 will be no supported in the near future. So the question is - is this true or we need to advance to nRF52832?
Thank you

Hi maxishev!
We follow Jedec Standard JSD-48 when it comes to End-of-Life and obsoletion. This means that at some point in time a Product Discontinuation Notice (PDN) will be sent to all distributors and made available on our website. After this, the procedure goes as follows:
Last Order Date will be 6 months after the PDN was published.
Last Shipment Date will be 6 months after Last Order Date, i.e. 12 months after PDN.
But as far as I know, there are no plans to phase out production of the nRF 51 devices in the near future, and there is still full support from us on the nRF 51 devices. Take a look at this answer.
However, I would recommend using the nRF52 since it's a faster, more flexible chip where you will get the latest software updates.
Best regards,
Joakim.
Thank you for the answer
