Segger embeded studio setting up issue.

Hi there,

So I'm going through that complicated step of setting up the IDE for the first time to get started programming and I'm having issues doing it with the SES and the Blinky blank example.

I've followed this tutorial up to the point of "Peer Manager/Flash Data Storage"

Didn't understand it so I skipped it now when I try to build the project anyways it shows me this:

Note that at this stage: "Adding nRF5 MDK Files" after adding the "../../../../../../components/device" thing I couldn't see the full list as shown in the example...

So now I'm stuck in this point not sure how to move on...

Thanks for helping.

  • Hi,

We have now released SDK 14.1, where we have added support for Segger Embedded Studio (SES) IDE. You no longer need to create the SES projects yourself, since they are included in the SDK. You can use Segger Embedded Studio for commercial and non-commercial purpose with Nordic Semiconductor devices free of charge without any code limit. See this article for more information.

You can download SDK 14.1 here.

You can download Segger Embedded Studio from here.

  • Aight thank you very much this update was added after I started this battle(Just found time to get back to it) followed your links and watched the attached videos and managed to flash the blinky example on not too much effort.

Thanks again I'll get back programming.
