nRF Sniffer not working

Nordic Team,

We are using Bluefruit LE Sniffer - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) - nRF51822 - v3.0 to sniff packets from BLE 4.0 device - but we are finding it hard to connect the nRF Sniffer application with Sniffer hardware. The slide switch in at DAT mode on the hardware.

Please find the Log files attached.

Looking forward from some pointers as to what we are doing wrong. image description

  • Hi Hung Bui,

    Thanks for your revert.

I have put up the same on their forum, but still waiting for somebody to reply. Yes they have a firmware but I am not aware if the board is pre-programmed or I have to program it.

Yes the USB gets detected everytime. I tried to use the Python API provided by Adafruit to do some debugging and noticed that the port gets opened but software receives no reply for PING_REQUEST.

I am not sure if i received a broken module or if something has changed in the way things work. The content at Adafruit is not up-to-date and somehow I cannot confirm the same for nRF-Sniff as well.
