The library you are using only supports peripheral mode. I recommend that you use our official SDK if you want central mode. You will find several examples for both peripheral and central in the SDK.
You could also forward your request to Sandeep Mistry, the author of the arduino-BLEperipheral library, if he has any plans to create a similar library for central mode.
