SDK14 / nRF52832 Combining DFU bootloader softdevice and app

I could not find update info on this;

When I use mergehex to combine SD, app and bootloader, MCU just boots into DFU mode.

When I program SD, bootloader and app, MCU also just boots into DFU mode.

I can only get it to boot to app if I update it via DFU.

The bootloader_settings.hex from devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ made no difference, are they different for nrf52?

Hi,

The newer SDK's implement a secure bootloader and have a much more sophisticated bootloader settings usage. The bootloader settings need to be generated via a command line tool and merged into your hex. Take a look at this answer and see if it helps:
