AlertNotifServer.ncs

Hi, I just started using the nRF52 dev. kit. I am trying to familiarize with the BLE examples. I have downloaded the nRF Connect...and I can detect the device.

The SDK 12.2.0 that I am using required a Server Setup called AlertNotifServer.bin but the nRF connect seems to look for a AlertNotifServer.ncs (as indicated in the SDK v13..). If I try to load *.bin, then I have an error.

Now..looking at the examples in SDK13...I can't find the *.ncs there too...(infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp I still see the *.bin.

I use a Mac...so I can't run the Master Control Panel...

Moreover, Using the nRFc connect for my iphone I can connect to the device but...just that.

Any suggestions? Does anybody know there the *.ncs for the examples are?

Hi,

The AlertNotifServer.ncs file for nRFConnect was added in SDK 13. The .bin file that is found in the previously SDKs was for MasterControlPanel. The AlertNotifServer.ncs file can be found in the folder nRF5_SDK_13.0.0_04a0bfd\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_alert_notification

Thanks, I had the SDK 13.0.0.01....that does not have the *.ncs.

That is correct, the SDK 13-alpha did not have the .ncs, but SDK 13 have it. You can download SDK 13 here.

Hi QQ645116977,

Setup the server up as shown below. When clicking on Load setup, you need to find the .ncs file. After the file is loaded, click on Start advertising.
