Monitor mode debugging not working with IAR and s140 6.0.0-6alpha

Hello,

I followed the steps mentionned in this blog

I did all the required step but I'm still seeing the same behavior. below is my setup :

I'm using nRF52840 and s140 6.0.0-6 alpha. IAR 7.70.1 JLINK 5.22a SDK 14.0 (att_mtu_troughput) and SDK 14.2.0 (ble_app_blinky). nRF52840 dev kit board

I tried what was suggested in different questions asked before this but still not able to make it work.

-Increased the priority to 6 : NVIC_SetPriority(DebugMonitor_IRQn, 6ul). -Made sure I have DebugMon_Handler in both sides. -Removed CONFIG_GPIO_AS_PINRESET.

• Chanegd "SetMonModeVTableAddr=0x1B000" to 0x2500 the start address of the s140 6.0.0-6alpha but the breakpoints wont work at all with this setup.

Not sure what might be wrong with my setup !!

any suggestions would very appreciated.

Have you made sure you do not have Monitor Mode Debug enabled when flashing the application? Are you getting a hardfault when you break, or some other issue?

You mean if I have made sure that the MMD is enabled ? When flashing I always get the "monitor mode missing license" textbox and choose "YES" : evaluation purposes .

I always get directed to app_error_fault_handler() when stopping at a break point. The codes works just fine with no break points. I also tried to add MMD to the BLE blinky project but it didn't work for me !

Could you try to not enable MMD when flashing (select "NO" in the license dialog), and then enable MMD when starting the debug session (by selecting "YES" in the license dialog). Have you been able to enable MMD with other softdevices?

I get the license dialog only when flashing, I can't get it to pop up otherwise ! how do you do that ?

I have tried it with s140 version 5.0.0-2.alpha but with no luck. What SD you recommand for making the MMD work ? to make sure I'm not missing anything in my configuration process
