Pairing issues

Hi Guys,

I'm currently developing an app using BLE nrf18522 development beacons.

So I just bought 10 and did a test in a big park with the beacon Tx set to -60dBm and beacons around 30-40m apart. I did a test. Only 2 paired immediately, 3 took over 12 seconds to pair and 5 failed. All batteries were new and all units bench tested 100% at home. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Are you sure you are using -60dBm? As endnode says, that doesn't sound like a nRF51822.. Regardless:

• Does this work if you run all the beacons at 0dBm
• Did you try printing the RSSI of the devices you are trying to pair with to see if they are within range?
• Also, remember that the antenna is more or less directional.
