"Recover failed: invalid operation error" when recovering the chip

Hi, when trying to program my nrf51822 chip, I went through the following error streaks:

1.I started to get "no device found error". Can be easily solved by turning off the board (custom designed) and back on again.

  1. Same error, but have to switch off the board AND pull & plug back in the usb cable for Jlink debugger.

  2. Same error, but all the above steps stopped working, I have to restart my computer to be able to download it.

  3. Completely unable to download my app, **JLink Warning: RESET (pin 15) high, but should be low. Please check target hardware. error were thrown by keil uv5.

  4. Because of #4, I tried to use nrfGo studio's recovery function. And when I clicked the "recovery" button, I got the error "Recover failed: invalid operation error".

A few things to clarify:

  • I did not purposely try to lock the chip, I could have accidentally locked it but it's highly unlikely. One does not simply "accidentally" lock a chip.
  • The power supply seems to be fine, at least the voltage is in the accepted range - 2.4 volt.

Please help?

Edit: It is possible that the chip was damaged. The problems described above started when I attached an oscilloscope probe to the board. It is very rare but it is possible. Even though I completely refuse to believe such a possibility, because I have never run into such an occasion.
