Iphone5s(bluetooth4.0)smartphone can connect with equipment with nRF52810 Bluetooth5.0

I'm planning using nRF52810 for a new product to reduce the power consumption. But i worried whether old smartphone with Bluetooth4.0, like Iphone5s can connect with equipment with Bluetooth5.0.

Yes bluetooth is entirely backwards compatible and any BLE device should be able to connect with any other one because they start with the simplest protocol and negotiate the features they have.

Thank you so much for your answer. I also want to ask, for the old product i'm using nRF51822, but the power consumption is a big problem. I want to find a much lower power consumption chip to replace the nRF51822. So do you think nRF52810 is a good choice? And do you have any advice to get much more lower power consumption on the product software design?
