Hello, everyone~ If I use nRF51824 with Keil MDK to make an auto grade product, does the chip match ISO-26262?
The nRF51824 device is an automotive grade AEC-Q100 qualified. It means it went through extended reliability qualification tests and passed Grade 2 (temperature range: -40 to +105°C). But it is not ISO26262 certified and does not have a SIL level.
However, your final product could still meet the ISO requirements. It is accepted to use components which are not ISO 26262 certified, if they are AEC-Q100 qualified (with the right grade of your final product operating conditions) and not performing a functional safety function. We would recommend you to verify if it is applicable to your case.
Thanks, Petter. I understand.
