How can I communicate wirelessly with the Oculus Touch nRF51822 Bluetooth?

I am working on a project that requires me to wirelessly communicate with and program a left hand Oculus Touch controller, since dismantling it will cause damage. The controller uses the Nordic Semiconductor nRF51822 Bluetooth Smart and 2.4 GHz proprietary SoC seen here in Step 9: www.ifixit.com/.../75109 My initial thought is that I could use the nRF51 Development Kit seen here: www.nordicsemi.com/.../eng-GB ...But I am unsure because I am so new at this. The end result I'm hoping for is for the Oculus Touch controller to communicate with two VESC motor drivers seen here: diyelectricskateboard.com/.../torque-esc-vesc-bldc-electronic-speed-controller But I do not know how to proceed.
