nRF Connect v2.2.1 the button "Start scan" is invalid, cannot press

Hi All, on the right of nRF Connect v2.2.1,the "Start scan" button is invalid, I press "Alt+S", get a message "No adapter selected or adapter is missing state. Failing." I using win 7,the PC's bluetooth is opened. The PCA10040 board is connected to PC by USB.

    Thank you for your help, but when I press the "Select Serial port button", got a error message,the Log is followed:Connectivity firmware version 1.2.1 detected;Opening adapter connected to COM8;Successfully opened COM8. Baud rate: 1000000. Flow control: none. Parity: none.;Reset performed on adapter COM8;Error occured when opening port. Errorcode: NRF_ERROR_TIMEOUT (0xd). Respect your answer.
