nRF91 & LiFePO4 or dual Li/FeS2

Materials publicly available say the chip works from 3.1 volts.

But is this the absolute minimum voltage or will it be possible to use also LiFePO4 battery cells with the nRF91?

EDIT: Or what about with two non-rechargeable Li/FeS2 cells (1.5V each)?

Google tells more with keywords "lifepo4 discharge curve".

In low temperatures, the cell voltage goes below 3V.

What is the absolute minimum nRF91 will work?

Hi Lauri

If the normal operating range of the battery brings it below 3.1V then you would need an external regulator, as you can't expect the device to operate properly at a lower voltage.

The full specifications for the part are not yet available, but typically a brown out reset will occur once the voltage drops below the supported supply range.
