Blinky application s132 doesn't run

I tried Blinky blank application on PCA10040 by IAR. By pressing "Download and debug", everything is fine, I added RTT debugging information and can see it from RTT viewer.

But for Blinky s132 application. After pressing "Dowanload and debug", the target doesn't run this new application. It still runs last burned application--"Blinky bland application". I added different debugging information in these two project, so I know it still runs old one.

Any idea and suggestion please?

Hi,

You need to flash the S132 SoftDevice for it to work. Use nrfjprog in command line, or nRFGo Studio to flash the SoftDevice. For more information see this page: infocenter.nordicsemi.com/.../getting_started_softdevice.html

Thank you for your help. So for S132 kinds of application, I can not do real time debugging under IAR IDE, right?

You can still debug, it's just that you need to have the SD loaded for the app to run. Also, make sure your IDE doesn't do an erase all when it loads the app code, otherwise it will clear out the SD.
