Getting the device IP-adress from the Thread SDK

Hello!

I have been lurking around the Thread SDK and I wonder if it is possible to get the IP-address of the device, and if so, how? I am stuck here so any help would be appreciated!

To clarify I would like the device itself to find its own IP-adress and print it through RTT to my computer. The latter part is straight forward but I don't know how I should tackle the former.

Hi Henrik,

It sounds like you want output similar to the OpenThread CLI command ipaddr, just initiated from the code. Is this understanding correct?

The function otIp6GetUnicastAddresses() should do the job. You can have a look at the CLI implementation to get an idea how to use it.
