This parameter must be modified e.g. if you have a large number of characteristic in your custom service.

is there a reasoning to calculate this or just "try and test" ?

Is this the only answer to what value this should be set to?  Surely there must be a guideline.

hello, is really "trial and error" the only approach? i'm adding characteristics runtime by issuing commands from an external host board. Iterating while increasing the value would be very time expensive and not so "deterministic", since if i add another characteristic in the future i would have the problem again.
