[ble_app_uart__saadc_timer_driven__scan] Problem with the ble component

I have a question about ble_app_uart__saadc_timer_driven__scan_mode example ( https://github.com/NordicPlayground/nRF52-ADC-examples )

I flashed the project onto my nRF52 dev kit and got the ADC values displayed on Termite properly. However, the ble component doesn't work so well. The message received on the nRF toolbox Android app is all gibberish. I looked through old thread about this example and if I understand correctly, the problem somehow lies with the timer though I do not quite understand the why and how. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Could you provide some more details than that it "is all gibberish"? Please post an image or copy of the output.

Are you using the correct SDK and softdevice versions for the example?

Here is the image of the output on the nRF toolbox app.

I'm using SDK version 13.0.0 and Softdevice S132 v4.0.2 as specified by the documentation.

The ADC values are not converted to a string before sendt over NUS. If you want to display the values as a string, you have to convert it to a string before sending it. You can use sprintf() function or similar for this.
