  • hi ketil,

now the new problem rises to me i will explain one by one.

    1. i had designed a custom board for nrf52840 10 numbers. i am waiting for soc chip 52840 but it is not available now. so i am going to nrf52832 soc chip. can i load softdevice and application program using my nrf52840 pdk to my custom board which as nrf52832 chip. if not what is the procedure for that.

    2. i have designed a custom board 52840 will the same board will work for 52832 or i want to change any changes.

    3. as i came through previous questions there are something like st link is not preferable to load softdevice and application program for nordic chips in custom board. because the link you provided for bluey.

    4. after my task is fullfilled with my custom board. i will go for mass production. so i think segger is best option. in that which flasher is user friendly, cheap and best as i already provided a link which is from nordic website.

please clarify me for all this? thanks

  • if i use black magic "blue pill". can i load softdevice using nrf go studio and load software application using keil. because i am familiar in keil. please suggest

  • hi i found the jlink- edu is best. but in segger website they have mentioned it is used for nrf52840_xxaa. if i purchase nrf52840_xxab is it possible to load application using j-link edu. and also can i load softdevice using nrf go studio and application program using keil in j-link edu. and also the j link edu as 20 pin connector where as my custom board as 10 pin for debug. lot of confusion in this. please explain me if i am wrong

  • Hi,

    1. Just to clarify, are you asking if you can use the nRF52840 as a programmer for nRF52832?
    2. This will depend on the design of your board. I recommend you create a private case and upload the schematics.
    3. Thanks, was not aware of this.
    4. I can't tell you which flasher is the cheapest, best and most user-friendly. We often use SEGGER J-Link Pro, but you could contact SEGGER directly to get more information.
