Getting started for beginners

Hi,

I've recently bought a bluetooth module with a nRF52832 module for my new project (Module: EYSHSNZWZ from Taiyo Yuden). The problem is that I have no experience in embedded programming or programming a cortex m chip. I always used the ATMega series and now I want to try something new, but it is a bit overwhelming.

Can someone please help a total beginner like me how to get started or what I need to know to be able to start a project with BLE and cortex m specific tasks (I²C, GPIO, UART,...)?

Hello Dominik,

  If you are a total beginner I would highly recommend you to get the nRF52 DK "which provides our nRF52832 chip with all the I/O and interfaces via connectors and has 4 LEDs and 4 buttons which are user-programmable". It also includes an on-board debugger/programmer which mean that you can plug it directly to your computer via a µUSB cable, and start developing and testing right away.  This makes it very user friendly and easy to test out the different functionality and features of our nRF52832 chip.

  We also provide the "Software Development Kits" (SDK) which is the environment you will develop your application with. It provides the all the drivers, libraries, lots of already made examples to make development more convenient. You will know what I mean when you start programming. (note: we have examples in the SDK for how to use the TWI, GPIO,UART...)
