How to control specific time nRF52832 sleep mode (System OFF mode)?

Hello Sir,

I am using nRf52832 s132, i want to write program which is automatically ON from sleep mode and after few second it will go system off mode for 1hr. 

How i can do this as per the following:

1. nRf52832 device ON every 1 hr only for few 1-5 sec sending data to server and after that is go system off mode for save battery power.

2. How i can wake up nRF52832 device  from system off mode using software interrupt only (not any hardware signal) with specific user define time.

Please sir let me know how i can do this and please give me such example code and tutorial link which is useful for me.

Hi,

To wakeup periodically you will need an RTC timer running, so you will need to use System ON wake on RTC. Most SDK examples show usage of app_timer, which can do the job for you.

Now i am use wdt timer for wake up device with every 1 hr is it ok for save power consumption or need to use other like RTC timer.

I suggest an RTC timer yes, you will in any case need to use System ON with a low frequency clock (LFCLK), so the current consumption is about the same. Make sure that if you intend to wakeup every 1h, then you likely need to adjust the RTC PRESCALER to 1, since the max timout is about 512seconds with PRESCALER 0.
