Advice choosing hardware for new dev project (reading NFC tag data and sending it to iPhone via BLE)

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on what hardware to buy for my next project as I'm not clear from the specs if existing self-contained solutions do what I need.

I'd like to read NFC tags (e.g. in a business card) and send it to my iPhone via BLE as a means of circumventing the lack of NFC on that device. I have a vague recollection there's some off-the-shelf devices that already do this but I need access to the raw NFC data whereas those I think only work for payment applications.

Any thoughts about which Nordic device to buy greatly received! Perhaps there's a consumer-ready fully-packaged unit you're aware of?

Hi,

I would recommend getting a nRF52832-DK, and for reading NFC tags I would recommend a Adafruit PN532 NFC Shield.

We have an example for this setup in our SDK. See this page.
