SMBus Quick Read/Write on TWI (I2C) Unit?

Question

Is it possible to send an SMBus quick write and quick read using the TWI hardware? The sequence is:

I can send the address, but I don't seem to have an event that detects the ACK on the address without actually sending a byte. (I can, however, detect a NACK just fine). Thanks.

 Are you using nRF51 or nRF52? 
 As you can see from the sequence diagrams of the TWI peripheral of the nRF52832 IC, you get a BB event after ACK in the read sequence, but no events in the write sequence. The TWIM peripheral does not give any events at all.
